VIRALEZE™ provides a protective moisture barrier in the nose where cold/respiratory viruses first attach and start to multiply.
The mucoadhesive moisture barrier of VIRALEZE™ contains astodrimer, proven in laboratory studies, to physically trap and block cold/respiratory viruses, helping to reduce their adhesion, multiplication and spread, allowing your body’s natural defences to remove the viruses from the body.
The combined moisture barrier with astodrimer sodium physically blocks the cold/respiratory viruses from reaching cells in the nasal lining and helps to protect the nasal lining against dryness/damage.
VIRALEZE™ can be used anywhere and at any time you may be exposed to cold/respiratory viruses and where nasal passages may become dry and irritated, such as dry climates, indoor heated/air-conditioned environments, hospitals, public transport and during air travel.

Warnings & Precautions
VIRALEZE™ Barrier Nasal Spray is a medical device.
Always read the labels and instructions carefully before use.
- Recommended for use in adults and children aged 12 years and over.
- Do not use if you have a history of sensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation.
- Do not exceed 4 applications in 24 hours.
- Do not use with other nasal products.
- Do not use if the packaging or container are damaged.
- See a doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
- See your healthcare provider if respiratory symptoms appear, persist, or worsen.
- Stop use and consult a healthcare provider if you experience any serious side effects.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- To avoid contamination, the nasal spray should not be used by more than one person.
You may experience mild effects such as stuffy nose or a transient tingling sensation in the nose following the application of VIRALEZE™. These effects are expected. If you experience severe discomfort, consult your healthcare provider.
How to Use
One spray into each nostril as required, up to 4 times per day.
- Gently blow your nose to clear your nasal passages.
- Wash your hands with soap and water and dry them with a clean towel. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitiser.
- Remove the protective cap from the nozzle.
- Hold the bottle with your index and middle
fingers on each side of the bottle and your thumb on the bottom of the bottle. - If necessary, prime the bottle by spraying VIRALEZE™ one or more times into the air or into a tissue until a fine mist is dispensed. VIRALEZE™ is now ready for use.
- Close one nostril by pressing on that side of your nose, and gently insert the nozzle into the other nostril (the tip should be slightly angled away from the midline of the nose).
- Keeping the bottle upright, depress the pump to discharge the spray while gently breathing in through the nose.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other nostril.
- Wipe the nozzle with a clean tissue and replace the protective cap after use. Store out of reach of children.
Please note if you blow your nose after spraying VIRALEZE™ Barrier Nasal Spray you will need to reapply.
